Instant Crop and Fold Marks in InDesign.

Is there an easy way to set up crop and fold marks for both sides of a folding layout in a matter of minutes?

In this tutorial, Adobe Certified Instructor Jeff Witchel discusses using an existing InDesign Script and a few basic commands that make it simple to tackle this tough task perfectly.

PLEASE NOTE: In CS5 or later, the Scripts panel is found under the Window menu>Utilities>Scripts.

  2. Nicely done! I didn’t know there were standard scripts included in InDesign.

HiNIckiI just HiNIckiI just wonder if we can have the magizane cover in facing page..I mean not in that single page which we have at the beginning and in the end. And what is the real benefit of having a multiple master page, Cant it be done in a single master page? Thanks.

      Hi Kenichi,
To have the last and first page in a single spread, select the last page and make it the beginning of a new Section in the Options menu of the Pages panel. Make the page number for the start of the Section whatever the actual page number is. Click and drag the thumbnail of the last page up next to your page 1. Now make the front cover a new Section with page 1 as the starting page number. (In CS6, you’ll also have to uncheck “Allow Pages to Shuffle” in the Options menu of the pages panel.)
As far as having more than one Master Page, some spreads in a document may need to have a slightly different design, so you should create a different Master for those pages.
      Best,
      Jeff
