What’s the Secret to Combining 2 Layouts?
No, not by copying and pasting from one InDesign layout to another. No, not using the Book feature. By actually moving pages from one layout directly into another.
In this “quick tips” tutorial, Adobe Certified Instructor Jeff Witchel discusses a simple way to accomplish this using a little known, old secret.

You are an excellent teacher but your subject matter is beyond my declining capabilities. I remember you as a fine, young art director at Y&R in the seventies where we worked together on the insane Eastern Airlines account. After 30 years in the biz, I retired seven years ago to scribbling, scratching, traveling, golfing and grand parenting and love it all.
All the best,
Bill Flynn
Hi Bill,
So nice hearing from you. Y&R was a very long time ago. YIKES! Eastern Airlines.
Since leaving Y&R in 1978, I’ve been just about everywhere (from New York to Boston to Seattle and back) and done just about everything (from art direction to writing to creative direction to TV production and illustration).
Now, if you have not guessed from my website, I’m an Adobe Certified Instructor for InDesign, Illustrator and Digital Publishing Suite. I guess I was always meant to be a teacher. I’m loving it! I still do a lot of freelance, but over half of my work is training-related.
Glad you’re having a good time.
Please stay in touch!
All my best,
Jeff
